Our apps collect nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no server for your data to go to. Everything you do in a Get Puzzled app stays on your device.

Our apps are intended for people aged 13 and over. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them — which is straightforward, because we do not collect personal information from anyone.
Nothing. This is not a statement about intentions or about data we choose not to look at. The apps contain no analytics library, no crash-reporting library, and no advertising library, and they contain no code capable of making a network request. There is no mechanism by which information could reach us.
Puzzle progress, saved boards, completed-puzzle history, statistics, and settings are stored locally, in the app's own storage. We cannot read any of it. In apps that work with your photographs, the photographs are read and edited on your device and are never uploaded.

The apps do not connect to the internet and work identically with no signal. The one exception is that tapping a link to this website — the privacy policy or terms links on the age screen, for instance — opens your own browser, at which point your browser makes an ordinary request to this site. That request reaches our web server, not the app.
There is none. No advertising SDK is present in the apps, no advertising identifier is read, and nothing is shown to you that you did not open the app to see.
Where an app offers a purchase, it is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never receive or store your payment details, and we receive no information about you from the store beyond whether the purchase is valid.
We share nothing, because we hold nothing. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We hold no personal data, so there is nothing for us to retain or to set a retention period on. Data stored on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the app.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict its processing. Those rights attach to data a company holds about you, and we hold none — so in practice there is nothing for us to produce or erase. You are welcome to test that: write to kyled@beaconlightinvestments.com and we will answer within the period required by applicable law. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
This site is static. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no third-party scripts, and loads no fonts or images from anywhere else. Our web server keeps ordinary access logs — the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string — which is how the server is operated and secured. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not combined with anything from the apps, because there is nothing from the apps to combine them with.
If we ever add analytics, crash reporting, or advertising, this policy is updated before that version ships, the store privacy disclosures are updated to match, and you are asked for consent in the app before any collection begins. Nothing starts collecting quietly on an update.
For any change, we update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
